Marcia Holder

Marcia has always known, from a very early age, she would become a hairstylist. She started with her Barbie dolls, cutting and coloring them to create an individual style for each of them. She continues that philosophy today, after over 40 years behind the chair. Her passion is learning. PERIOD. Whether it be in the hair industry, or any other aspect of her life. Over the years, Marcia has owned her own salon, is a licensed cosmetology instructor, and was the Director of a cosmetology school for several years.

Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity of planning and participating in fashion shows, platform work at hair shows, and whipping up hair/wigs at Lied Center performances. She holds a Brazilian Blowout Certification, Keune Color Certification, and specializes in Relaxers/Texturizers and Fashion Colors.

JUST FOR FUN

Outside of the salon, Marcia enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, gardening and anything creative. Her 19 year old grandson describes her perfectly “hippie, mentor, and a little bit grandma.”

If she could give her clients one bit of hair advice, it would be, “don’t be afraid to try new things and wear it with confidence.” She feels blessed to have built personal relationships with her clients that has spanned generations, which includes their children, and their children’s children.
